Default So like, what is there to do after level 5?

I did just about every mission I could in the first two city area places. Theres a couple left but their just something dumb like deliver this for 100 xp or whatever (i can get xp quicker off two lvl 3 mob kills).

Can't find any real challenging mobs, the best I've seen are the level 5 Bull things which don't spawn often and don't provide much offense to you beating the shit out of them. Next best thing that is in abundance is the lvl 3 Corpse Cadavers in the catacombs which gets kinda tiresome pretty quick.

I don't mind treadmilling xp, but at the same time I want something that has a chance of killing me. Atm my main is a Smiting Monk with I guess his side "profession" being Healing Prayers, so dealing damage is rather slow but I'm pretty invincible for health.

Help appreciated.

Well, if you want something that has a good chance of killing you, you should party up with someone else and go fight the char in the Northlands. You need to party with someone to do this because one player needs to go up above the gate to open it and the other player has to walk through the gate.
Once you've had enough of the Northlands then yes, go talk to Tydus and start the real game.
